CraneMech was established to address a gap in specialist vehicle-mounted crane services on Brisbane’s north side. At the time, there were limited workshops able to support crane work alongside mechanical servicing and fabrication in one location.
What began with crane servicing and repairs expanded to meet customer demand. CraneMech now delivers crane installs, major inspections, mechanical servicing, tray builds and fabrication, allowing complex work to be completed through a single workshop.

Our Story
CraneMech’s early work focused on servicing and repairing vehicle-mounted cranes, where experience, correct processes and attention to detail are critical. From the beginning, this work was carried out alongside the trucks and trailers those systems operate on, rather than treating crane work in isolation.
Operating since 2015, customer requirements continued to expand beyond routine servicing. CraneMech developed the capability to handle crane installs, major inspections and more involved mechanical work, allowing complex jobs to be planned and completed without vehicles being passed between workshops.
Fabrication capability was formalised through CM Bodies & Engineering, supporting crane work with tray builds, crane subframes, body work and structural repairs. This ensured vehicles were not only repaired or installed correctly, but properly supported from a structural and compliance perspective.
Today, CraneMech operates as a specialist heavy vehicle workshop structured around crane-equipped trucks, with work planned to support ongoing operation, inspection requirements and long-term reliability.
